Project Proposal Description

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Eau Claire Marathon relies on volunteers to support essential event operations such as course safety, aid stations, and finish line services. This project addresses the community need for a well-organized volunteer workforce to ensure a safe, inclusive event that promotes health, wellness, and community engagement while supporting local tourism.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The mission of the Eau Claire Marathon is to produce unique, fun, and inclusive events that bring people, businesses, and charities together that enhance the Eau Claire community.

3.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer Eau Claire Marathon volunteers need to be reliable and able to follow instructions. A positive attitude and a commitment to supporting runners and the community are also essential for all volunteer positions.

4.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer The outcomes that have typically come out of this activity are the expanded awareness that accompanies volunteering. The sense that you have helped others accomplish their goals through your efforts is one of the more common outcomes cited by students in the past.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Students have the ability to sign up for the volunteer tasks that best fit their skills and time commitments. The tasks will center on the marathon weekend.
