Project Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The project is an attempt to put into place valid, qualified people and methods to help redesign our website, social media, and/or video production. This will enhance our charity efforts in reaching out to people with various disabilities who have fallen through the cracks of conventional therapies. Our goal is to exemplify how a dog or service dog can provide relief and aid to their struggles and give people hope in the local community and beyond.

2.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Our mission is to educate, advocate, and network so that we can provide an ongoing example of how a service dog or emotional support animal can enhance and sometimes save lives of those suffering with disabilities. This is supported through a comprehensive effort through our website and social media in a personal field ministry directing people to our resources.

3.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer A possible understanding of content monetization and how charities receive donations/funding in any capacity (connecting platforms to Venmo, Zelle, Paypal, etc.) The ability to edit various formats of videography and photography (traditionally or through AI methods.) The ability to display charity-related products for sale on website to highlight our charity efforts with dynamic imagery. The ability to help tune up our website and network credible links people can trust to access. The ability to manage social media platforms or the ability to help find someone to do that for us. The ability to help with outreach to potential sponsors via the website so that we can get grants, help maintain equipment, and attend more events.

4.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer A student would be able to learn what it feels like to help a disabled member of the community, providing support where I have deficits because of post-traumatic stress depression (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). A student would be able to practice fitting elements within a website together and streamlining website processes (building a directory, linking resources) for a rewarding, charitable cause. A student would be able to get experience with taking a wholesome artistic approach to educating and bringing awareness about the availability of service dogs to people in need through marketing already established by Harley Rose Motorcycle Dog (my first service dog) and her grandson, my current service dog (Arthur the Rumble pup). A student would be able to learn how to create an accessible format that helps individuals with PTSD navigate the website to make connections related to service dogs.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer The availability requirements would be very open and adjustable to the desires of the student and their schedule.

6.

Additional information (not required).

Answer I fell into a position many years ago that helped me understand how superior a service dog can be to conventional treatments. I began to pursue my passion for sharing this understanding by making an impact on people living in misery often to the point of suicide. In my stride, I was in first place in a national contest to have a $160,000 Prize package for designing a motorcycle that gave disabled people rides with me and my service dog, but I got hit by an intoxicated driver which took me out of the running. Now, since the injury, I struggle with technology and the many basic skills it would take to manage the following we've established. Therefore, in an effort to be a good steward to my charity, I absolutely have to reach out for help from the community. I am very grateful to anyone that can help with my charity due to my limitations since the injury.
