Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Blugold Athletic Band works to provide entertainment, spirit, and morale throughout events on the UWEC campus and around the greater Eau Claire Community through music.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The mission of the Blugold Athletic Band is to provide meaningful musical experiences to both its members and the community it performs for. Student leadership and initiative is at the forefront of its overall mission.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer Students must know how to perform and woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument and have the ability to read music.

4.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer Students will engage with a broader campus and city community through their previously developed musical skills.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer The Blugold Athletic Band holds approximately 2-3 rehearsals and performs at up to 15 Blugold athletics and community events throughout the 2025-2026 academic year. To earn Community Engaged Learning credit, students are asked to perform in at least 7 events and attend at least 1 rehearsal.
