Project Proposal Description

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Stand in the Light Memory Choir is need of a technical support specialist to help our choir on rehearsal days with setting up sound equipment (microphones, music speakers, cameras and music stands) and helping our choir members who ZOOM into rehearsals and monitoring computer needs related to ZOOM and lyrics for the choir.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Stand in the Light Memory Choir uses the power of singing to move people with early to mid-stages of memory difficulties/loss and their care partners to rediscover themselves, make new friends, laugh together, learn together and contribute to their community.

3.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer Technical Experience: setting up and troubleshooting audio/visual equipment including microphones, music speakers, cameras and music stands. Strong knowledge of Zoom and ability to provide 1:1 or group instructions for elderly choir members who may need assistance with technology during rehearsals. Trouble shoot common Zoom and audio-visual issues such as poor sound quality or connectivity issues. Communication skills: Strong interpersonal skills an the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group, including elderly choir member who may have limited technical proficiency. Patience and understanding when working with individual who may be less familiar with technology. Problem Solving: ability to quickly identify technical issues and implement solutions to minimize disruptions during rehearsals.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer 1) Enhance self confidence by contributing to our community choir with your technical knowledge and skills 2) Real life experience working with adults 50+ years old and some whom may have memory loss/difficulties.

Answer Thursday Mornings from 9:00- 9:15am to 11:15-11:30am Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd 1120 Cedar Street, Eau Claire WI 54703
