Project Proposal Description

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Eau Claire Marathon is hosting 4 family friendly and holiday themed 5K races throughout the year to bring the community together and encourage physical fitness in a fun environment. The races for this service-learning project include hall-EAU-ween 5K on Friday, October 24th at 6:30 p.m., ho h-EAU ho 5K on Saturday, December 13th at 9:00 a.m. and xo x-EAU 5K on Saturday, February 14th at 9:00 a.m.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer To organize, promote, and deliver running events that safely create running, social, and charitable opportunities in our community.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer Positive attitude and communication, job specific skills will be taught at time of volunteer shift.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer Community involvement and exposure to community based fitness opportunities.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Hours can be spread across one or multiple of the 5K events: hall-EAU-ween 5K on Friday, October 24th at 6:30 p.m., ho h-EAU ho 5K on Saturday, December 13th at 9:00 a.m. and xo x-EAU 5K on Saturday, February 14th at 9:00 a.m.
