Project Proposal Description

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer UWEC students will tutor NHS students, individually or in small groups, with Math, English, or Science content mastery. Math content reteaching is a particular need of NHS students.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The After School Academic Assistance Program is a voluntary resource for North High School students to receive support in their current classes.

3.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer Foundational math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II), active listening and clear verbal/written communication skills.

4.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer UWEC volunteers will learn to explain complex concepts in simpler terms, adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles, and feel more confident in their ability to teach and lead.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:00-4:30pm.
