1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

2.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Our mission is to advance housing justice, working primarily for the benefit of those with high rental barriers, low income, justice- impacted, and marginalized communities. We accomplish this by providing advocacy, education, consultation and mediation services that promote positive relations between tenants and housing providers, empowering tenants to advocate for themselves.

Answer Fluency in English and Spanish.

4.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer To develop translation skills, inclusive language when meeting the needs of a diverse community, and collaboration with local non-profits.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer One introductory meeting (face-to-face preferred), then mostly independent remote work with weekly check-ins (virtual or face-to-face). Additional face-to-face meetings can be scheduled as needed. Face-to-face final meeting preferred.
