Project Proposal Description

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Downtown Eau Claire Fall Fest is a annual event, bringing more than 10,000 visitors into the Downtown district, along with hundreds of vendors, live music and performances, and community organizations. Volunteer responsibility may include: assisting with event setup and takedown, helping at activity stations, providing directions and event information to guests, supporting vendor coordination, or helping maintain a clean and safe festival area

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. is an independent 501(c)(6) non-profit organization working hard to keep downtown moving forward and growing. Our mission is to promote the development of business, housing, cultural resources, and activities within Downtown Eau Claire by promoting and supporting local businesses, producing and supporting annual events, and advancing innovative ideas and projects.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer Volunteers are ideally capable of lifting >50 lbs, standing for periods of time, walking and other miscellaneous physical tasks.

4.

What are the learning objectives for this project

Answer Volunteers will develop skills in event coordination, public engagement, teamwork, and problem-solving. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a nonprofit organization dedicated to community development, while contributing to the vibrancy of downtown Eau Claire.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Must be available Saturday 9/13
