Answer Friends at the Lake is a program working with those living with early to mid-stage dementia. We meet on Tuesdays from 10:00-2:00. During this time, we plan several activities such as games, singing, arts and crafts, movement, and brain activities. A hot lunch is served also. The project would be to complete training and volunteer for four Tuesdays. On the 4th Tuesday plan the activities for that day. The activities are planned for twenty minutes and there is a template we use to help plan our day. The community need is respite for the caregiver and meaningful activities for the friend living with dementia.
